What is Backpacker Love?
Backpacker Love is a portal where travellers from around the world can share experiences and help contribute to communities around the world by donating art which will go on to raise money and awareness of issues that we in developed nations don’t often encounter in our daily lives.
Backpacker Love is a community or the connection between travellers that want to help the people and places they have visited. It’s a place to come and get information, to donate, and comment, and learn…to unite and work together towards a better world.
Why?
Travelling is a unique, individual and reflective experience. It’s as much about the destination, as the people you met along the way. Most of all, it’s about coming back different to how you left; changed in a way you can’t explain.
It is hard to forget about the experiences and people that have shaped our travels when we return to our normal life. They change the way we choose to live our lives and many of us begin to consider what we can do to make a difference.
But sometimes we find it difficult to know how we can help.
And that’s why we created Backpacker Love.
This is your opportunity to have voice, raise awareness, make a difference and give back.
Who?
Backpacker Love is for anyone that has been somewhere or met someone that touched their heart – the stranger that offers you into their home, a roof to shelter or a helping hand. Or the child making a living collecting plastic at the rubbish dump, the adult that was never taught to read or the family that has to move from their home because of rising sea levels.
