Like most capital cities Bangkok is a melting pot. Traffic swarms and sways, weaving through a maze of streets. Loud and unrelenting, cars, bikes, trucks and buses belch smoke as they lurch forward.

Old meets new as skyscrapers tower high over ancient temples and dilapidated houses.

The constant sweltering, sweaty heat is replaced in an instant by a torrential shower with matching claps of thunder and forks of lightning.

Bangkok is alive with an electric atmosphere.

One of the most memorable things about Vietnam for me, were the people. The faces. The pure expressions. They way they drew me in, with some indescribable pull. They have no reason to hide anything and they show an honest and true side of themselves despite whatever circumstances they’re in – especially the children. At times I felt simultaneously compelled to capture such expressions and quite intrusive at the same time. Who am I to come in unannounced to their home? Nevertheless, they stared back at me with their beautiful faces – a mixture of curiosity, confusion, intensity, openness and happiness. The images here were taken at Lang Dinh An, a small village of Koho people – an Ethnic minority of Vietnam, situated just outside Dalat and at a small Buddhist Temple orphanage in the countryside of Nha Trang.
